Mohanlal-Sathyan Anthikad Film Hridayapoorvam Begins Filming

The much-anticipated Malayalam film Hridayapoorvam, starring Mohanlal and directed by Sathyan Anthikad, has officially begun filming after a traditional pooja ceremony. The announcement was made by Antony Perumbavoor’s Aashirvad Cinemas on February 10, Monday, through their social media handles. The production house shared an image of Mohanlal lighting the lamp, marking the beginning of the shoot, along with a request for prayers and blessings from fans. This film marks the return of the popular actor-director duo after nearly nine years since their last collaboration, Ennum Eppozhum (2015).

A few months ago, Akhil Sathyan, the director’s son, had hinted at the project by sharing a cryptic post featuring Mohanlal, Sathyan Anthikad, and producer Antony Perumbavoor. His caption teased a “super-fun” film, building excitement among fans. Sathyan Anthikad himself expressed his enthusiasm for presenting Mohanlal in the role of an everyman, following the actor’s recent success in Jeethu Joseph’s Neru. Given the director’s reputation for heartwarming family dramas, expectations are high for Hridayapoorvam to be another feel-good entertainer.

The film has been scripted by Akhil TP, known for his short film Night Call, which gained him recognition in the industry. Cinematographer Anu Moothedath, who worked on Athiran and Soofiyum Sujatayum, has joined the project as the director of photography. Music for Hridayapoorvam will be composed by Justin Prabhakaran, adding to the film’s appeal. Additionally, actor Sangeeth Prathap, known for his role in Premalu, has been confirmed as part of the cast, though further details about other actors remain under wraps.

Filming is set to take place in locations across Kochi and Pune. The movie is being produced under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, which is currently gearing up for the release of another major production, L2: Empuraan, on March 27. With a talented team behind it and the return of a beloved collaboration, Hridayapoorvam has already generated significant buzz, promising to be a heartwarming cinematic experience for Malayalam film audiences.
