The official verified details for the upcoming Malayalam film ‘Hello Dear’ confirm a youthful romantic comedy that brings together two of the most promising young talents in contemporary Malayalam cinema. Directed and written by Dinoy Paulose, the film marks his feature directorial debut. Paulose is widely known for co-writing the blockbuster Thanneer Mathan Dinangal, a film that became a significant entry in contemporary Malayalam cinema for its blend of school life, youthful romance, and humour.
The film is produced by Ashiq Usman under the banner of Ashiq Usman Productions, marking the production house’s 20th project. Arun D Jose serves as co-producer. The technical team includes music composer Govind Vasantha, cinematographer Akhil George, and editor Chaman Chakko, a combination that suggests a polished and musically rich cinematic experience.
Hello Dear stars Mamitha Baiju and Sangeeth Prathap as the lead pair, marking their reunion after sharing the screen in the massive hit Premalu. This time, however, they are paired together as the primary leads rather than supporting players. The supporting cast includes Suresh Krishna, Advaith Ajay, and Dinoy Paulose himself, adding depth and familiarity to the ensemble.
The genre is a youthful romantic comedy set against the backdrop of a metropolitan city. The film promises a refreshing blend of humor, romance, and the unpredictable twists of modern-day relationships, with the team’s tagline reading, “A mess. A love story”. The first-look poster, unveiled in August 2026, featured Mamitha and Sangeeth sharing a playful, romantic moment against a railing, immediately establishing the film’s lighthearted and relationship-focused tone.
Hello Dear is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on January 29, 2027. Dubbing for the film was officially completed in late October 2026, and post-production is progressing steadily. With its young lead pair reuniting after a blockbuster, a debut director with a proven writing pedigree, and a production house celebrating its 20th milestone, Hello Dear is positioned as one of the most anticipated Malayalam releases of early 2027.
